  • Rendering WMV lost the last frame of video – Why?

Posted by David Timar on October 24, 2007 at 6:39 pm

    Hi there,

When rendering a WMV from the timeline, the last frame of the final WMV is missing. I am running 50fps projects, and only when rendering to WMV, the last frame gets lost.

Can anybody please tell WHY? I am rendering very large projects, and due to the instability of rendering from the timeline into WMV, I want to render 5 minute regions, then stitch them externally. Unfortunately, with those frames missing, the stitched WMV is useless.

Any help is more than appreciated, or work-around (if there is any).

    Thanks
    David T

What stitches WMV without reencoding it? Just curious.

Sorry, but you are wrong. It does reencode. I needed to add a leader to a file to play on a special box (JVC AveLink). The two files came out SMALLER than the two added AND the second WMV file was modified. It was reencoded.
