  • Rendering Video in Premiere Pro to match the quality of Camtasia Screen Capture

    Hey guys,

I created a screen capture video that is about one hour long in camtasia studio. In captasia, i saved the screen captured video as an avi. I was hoping that i could import the avi into premiere pro and then edit it there as the camtasia editor is very simple. However i simply cant find out how to render the video after i have it edited in premiere pro. (Well i mean i dont know how to render it as the same quality as camptasia) camtasia does an extraordinary job of render quality and file size. The screen capture video was a 1920 by 964px .avi video. The quality is EXCELLENT! now when I try to export the edited video in Premiere Pro using the same settings (AVI with teh same dimensions) it can look pretty good, but hte file size is just way tooo large (probably like 100 times larger than that of camtasia.

Anyone ever try to do the same thing im doing? Any solutions?

What codec are you using for output?

    This might help.

I tried all of them that Premiere pro comes with. Still not anything like that of camptasia.

Are you comparing camtasia export to Adobe export or original capture to export?

    Are you keeping dimensions?
