May 19, 2011 at 3:54 pmYes, choose Sony AVC/MVC. You’ll find Entropy Coding options are CAVLC and CABAC, which are used for H.264.
My favourite rendering format!

May 19, 2011 at 6:42 pmNo. Sony Vegas will not encode QuickTime h.264 files.
I have a client who insisted that the only delivery format they would accept was h.264 in a MOV file. (My client is an idiot).
You use the Sony AVC “render as” preset and select the highest resolution with the = in front (this means that the preset matches your project parameters). Then use Apple Quick Time Pro (it’s not free, but reasonably cheap) to make the QT file.
