rendering to AE
Im completly new to cinema 4d, and have created a basic animation. I want to import this into AE with an alpha channel if possible, i look at the render settings and save the aec file but not sure how to get the final render and what settings to use.
any help is appreciated,

Choose an image format that can hold Alpha channels e.g. TIFF, PNG, TGA or PSD. I suggest you re-read the manual – say what you will about C4D, but its manuals are among the best in the industry. The entire rendering is explained in an entire chapter quite well. The specifics merely depend on what output format you later create in AE.
