    Hello all,

I finally upgraded to Vegas 10 to be able to handle the H264 MP4 files from my GoPro HD without having to mess around with any transcoding or format changes.

The editing was a breeze and I left the project settings in Vegas to match the source – it was shot at 1920*1080 @ 30fps progressive. I basically added a few JPEGs that I created at 1920*1080 along with some titles and a music track.

The clip is 5 or so minutes long and I plan to make a few more. What is the best way to render it to share across YouTube without losing quality?

I imagine I can leave it uncompressed if I ever put it on a BR disc?

    Thank you!

I use main concepts codec, same resolution as source material, 50mbit/sec constant bit rate, full progressive (per youtube instructions). And I set the audio bit rate very high as well.

50 mbit/sec is a huge number that gives the youtube codec the best quality of material to work with. Of course, youtube has to cut the bitrate way down. But in time they may re-encode for higher bit rates than now.
