    when rendering a video with a couple of still images in it the still images are smaller than the video, so the video will come from regular widescreen to the square format. Please help, it’s urgent. I’m clueless.

    Open Pan/Crop, right-click the image on the Pan/Crop screen, and choose “Match Output Aspect”.
