When I render HD video (1920x1080i) using the Blu-Ray template, the finished result has jagged lines. Any ideas of what settings to modify.

I downloaded the trial version Sony Vegas Pro 9b in order to try the template because the template would not work with 8.1 Tech support said there was a previous bug.

Using 8.1, I have been using the HDV template with pretty good success. But it is downgrading resolution to 1440. I just thought the full Blu-Ray template would look better.

Now the HDV template produces an .m2t extension which cannot be played. The Blu-Ray template produces a .m2v extension which can be viewed through Windows Media player.

Do you think that viewing it through Windows Media Player is showing me the jagged lines?

If the “jagged lines” are from interlacing then this is absolutely being caused by using Windows Media Player. Interlaced video is meant to be watched on an interlaced TV.

I decided to transfer the footage to the PC with Architect and it looks like the jagged lines are not present.

John, you are right. Windows Media Player was the culprit. Thanks!
