  • rendering smaller size review copy of ultra-wide production

I am working on a panoramic production, 12×54 foot projected from high res stills. I am working with a 2280x720HD composition layout which will be rendered, then cropped into 3 separate HD streams. My question, which is probably one of those slap yourself upside the head ones, but how can I take my 2280×720 composition and render it out at 720×160 or so for review? When I resize the comp, I end up cropping the images. AE does so much so well, don’t know why I can’t find answer to this (simple) task. Thanks for the brain fix. rg

    Hi Rick,

Create a 720×240 comp then drop your 2280×720 comp into that and scale to 33.3%

That should do it.. OR am I missing something ?

    Cheers,

    Andy

or when you render it out

in the output module, click on lossless
    then click the stretch.
and you can size it to whatever you want…just for a render preview.
    easiest way.
you can scale it to whatever and keep the same aspect ratio

Thanks so much. One of those very simple process procedures that everyone must know, but I couldn’t figure out through the book. rg
