I have 300 JPG stills that are exported as a 10 second ‘movie’ from another program. I can import them and put them in the timeline (setting the duration for stills to .033 seconds), but when I try to render them as an NTSC AVI file about 1/3 to 1/2 of the resulting frames have a ‘venetian blind’ effect – as if the scan lines were offset sideways a small bit, back and forth, from line to line. This effect is definitely not present in the original JPGs. It only appears when rendering. I’ve messed with all the project settings and nothing gets rid of this.

Help? I know somewhere I read about importing a movie as a series of still frames, post-treatment in Photoshop for example, but I can’t find it.

Instead of dragging the files to the timeline directly, instead import them as a “file image sequence”. Go to File – Open, pick the first image, and then check the “image sequence” box.

Thank you Edward – that did the trick. Wish I could have found it in the Help files, but I guess if they were perfect, this forum wouldn’t exist.
