Rendering problems with Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 and Matrox.
I have had several projects I have shot in 16×9 or wide screen aspect ration, and the footage is in a squeezed format.
I open a project in Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5, select the Matrox Widescreen 1.2 setting etc. The squeezed footage is capture and when put on the time line etc, it is displayed in the correct widescreen aspect ratio.
If I color correct or make changes and render the changes, the
footage ends up squeezed in my project and I can not get it to
be unsqueezed.
I have looked at my render setting and I do not have any codecs that allow me to render the footage in widescreen aspect ratio.
If I do no corrections and send the footage out to an .avi file,
then the footage is in the correct widescreen aspect ratio.I have seen several articles that say go to file, select interpret footage etc. but I don’t seem to have that option.
It is grayed out and not available to use.Any one have this problem and know how to correct it?

It is grayed out and not available to use”The Interpret Footage feature is only available to files hi-lited in the Project BIN

I have the same issue. It seems random. I will be editing footage and all of the sudden the next time i go back to the clip on the timeline, it is squeezed in on the sides. Kind of like a 4/3 image centered in a 16/9 aspect. Premiere is squeezing my 16/9 into 4/3 to make this happen. Other clips around that clip on the timeline do not have the same problem. So i try to delete the clip from the timeline and make a new cut on that clip in the source monitor. Once i import it back to the timeline sequence it retains its correct demensions until I render a new preview, then it switches back to the same problem again. I also have tried to delete all rendered previews, same things happens. All is fine until i render a new preview. I have search all over for a fix to this problem, but have found the answere.
