Rendering Problems in Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum
Hello,
My name is Alejandro and I’ve been editing video for one year and eight months now.I started with sony vegas movie studio platinum and currently I use this and vegas pro 9.I am having a problem that I had in the past but never actually found a solution for it.When I go to render in the video format that I want, in this case is using Divx for .avi file, When the rendering begins and is in the process I can’t get a preview in the preview window as it’s rendering.When I notice this I know that there is a problem with the rendering and there is no use in letting it continue because I know I will have a corrupt video file.I’ll paste link to the application and my media work in progress so that everyone can take a look at it and possibly give me a hand.

I can’t see the top video track in that image but the track that is showing seems to be a composited child and you have what looks like white media covering most of it. Are you sure it’s not something about ho you have compositied the tracks? Do they show OK in the preview before rendering? You might want to try rendering to another codec to see if it is specific to DivX. Try rendering to DV AVI. If that works, then render the DV file to DivX.

I know what you mean what you mean with compositing chid,I did change them around that but that was after I found out about the problem.There is one thing that I forgot to mention and that is that the very first time I tried rendering it to .avi using the divx codec,I had no problem in initiating the render but I still didn’t get a preview of it as it was rendering.Now when I try to render it to .avi,I get an codec error, and even if I try to render to what you mentioned and or any other video format…I still can’t get a preview as it’s rendering and I cancel it.Rendering is of the devil.I’ve taken another screenshot with the upper track showing, it is the first one actually and it’s my copyright media generated text.The white one below it is the time code effect,I don’t know why it’s appearing white.The error I get when trying to render to .avi is; “An error occurred while creating the media file LizardRadiator.avi.The selected codec does not support the current render settings”.
