Rendering Problems After Name Change
I am a newbie using Vegas Studio 9. I created a project that was a few minutes of pan & zoom on still photos set to music. I made several renders (all to mpg2), partial and complete, all with great success.
I then saved this project under a different name, made some edits and attempted to render it. At a few points in the new render there are abrupt starts and stops and “backups” in the pan & zoom effect. Some, but not all, are at points where I had most recently made edits.
There are no additional or extraneous keyframes, and the problem occurs in the same places in all subsequent renderings. Any ideas as to what might be wrong?

Although it is difficult so say without knowing what edits you made after saving under a different name, your story sounds like you introduced a lot of extra keyframes. Keyframes are added automaticly when the timeline of effects are set to update with the main timeline.

The edits were changing the order of a few events and substituting some hi-res images for scanned images.
The results do, indeed, look as it there are extra keyframes, but wouldn’t I be able to see them in the new project (I don’t)?
Newbie question: Are keyframes and effects tied to the timeline or to the event (do they move with the event)?

Oddly, this turned out to be due to leaving the project markers in when I rendered the video. Is this a known quirk? I rendered to mpg2 and previewed it in Windows Media Player.
