Try render everything first as DV NTSC.
Then when done you place that DV format
in vegas and render to your WMV format.

    Try that…..

Clips are taken from Fraps in AVI format, and some are prerendered into
    WMV from AE?

and then taken into the timeline with the avi ones to make it all WMV?

No, i meant rendering all the different formats
(fraps, and the AE prerendred files) to DV NTSC.
Then place that DV NTSC back into vegas and render to WMV.

I have exactly the problem you describe. i’m trying to render a 5 min doc in Sony Vegas 8.0 and it won’t do it.

can you please give me a step by step explanation of what you did so that I might try it as well?

i thought the problem was that i had several large photos in the doc, but when i resized them smaller (320×320) it still didn’t help.

i’m doing this for work and the guy who knew the whole system was just laid off.

any explanation would be greatly appreciated.
