Rendering Problem: Won’t let me render in any format
Hey there. I’m pretty much a newb, but I don’t think I’ve done (or haven’t done) anything too painfully obvious and I think I genuinely have a problem.
I’m running Windows XP with Sony Vegas 7.0a.
I had a mere 90-second clip (of what was to be a sample of a much larger project) to render, and I tried to render it in AVI, MOV, WMV and MPG. But during the extremely slow process, it’d either stop on some random figure and not move, it would simply and silently disappear from the taskbar (i.e. shut down) or i would get an error.
Either way, it’s frustrating as hell and I haven’t yet end up with a finished result; I have no idea how to go about fixing it. I’ve browsed through some other forums and gathered that people with source clips from torrented avi’s experience problems, generally.
Nearly all of the clips I’m using are from torrented avi’s. I’ve read solutions such as “try to get rid of them” or “convert them all”, but the deleting path isn’t an option and I’m not sure how to convert the clips without having to rework (it took AGES) everything I’ve done.
If anyone could help me out I’d be eternally grateful!
(By the way – please no sarcasm or nastiness over the whole use of torrents… I’m not harming anyone and I’m just trying to get some help).
