Rendering problem with overcranked footage converted through DVC Pro HD Frame Rate Converter
Hi all-
I have failed to find any information regarding this specific problem an associate of mine is having. I am getting this information second hand but will try to explain thoroughly.
The project is being done at DVC Pro HD 23.98. There was some footage shot at 59.94 with intention of being used as slow motion in a 23.98 sequence. The footage was loaded at 59.94 and then converted using the DVC Pro Frame Rate Converter. All selection boxes were checked.
The resulting footage seemed to work flawlessly until something that required rendering was done to the clip. Whether it be adding a dissolve or a title. If it requires rendering, the render will cause the footage within the render area to actually play the wrong frames of the original source footage. It plays a variable number of frames earlier than the timecode says it’s playing. Sometimes its playing 5 frames earlier in the clip other times its 14 frames
