  • rendering out a 25p AE project with 50p relinked footage

I am currently working on a project that consists of 2D,3D, and “low rez” green screen footage all at 25p. The client now wants to do the final on-line render with the original 50p green screen footage with the final render out being at 50p as well. The problem is all the 2D and 3D animations have been done and or currently being one in 25p

What would be the best way to handle this?

I like Twixtor when it comes to creating intermediate frames, doubling a frame rate or slowing things down to 50%.

Ideally, of course, you should re-do all the CGI at 50p.

All of this should be at extra expense, since the client has changed the original specs, apparently.

Hi Steve, Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately, I’m stuck with using companies system that only has Adobe’s CS4 video production package and they don’t seem to keen on buying any other additional plug-ins.

I agree that the CGI work should re-done in 50p. I’m waiting for some the original 50p footage to e sent so I can try some “cheats” I know and some other colleagues back in the states told me, but I’m expecting a snag with that one.
