Trying out the Vegas 11 and have now added transitions and titles to video that was produced(I have permission) by someone else. Its pal widescreen, but the client wants the video(small 2 minute section) to be loaded up to You Tube. Can’t for the life of me render it properly. It can be done video only (as I have done countless times of earlier versions of Vegas but in Vegas 11 I cant see what specs to use.Can someone with know how let me know how to render this so that it can be uploaded.I want to include sound.I realise that when rendering to dvd- blue ray etc. that I would render this separately.
Its Widescreen pal standard video and ready to go

    Thanks in advance

For internet delivery you want to use either Sony AVC or MainConcept AVC as the format. Since neither of these comes with a PAL template, you’ll have to make your own. I would start with the MainConcept AVC “Internet 480p widescreen” template and adjust that for PAL.

When delivering to the Internet, it’s best to use a pixel aspect ratio of 1.0 so you need to set your PAL Widescreen 720×576 PAR 1.4568 to 1048×576 PAR 1.0. I would also use an average bit-rate of at least 3Mbps to keep the quality up.

John I can not get any of this to render. It starts off fine- jumped around- went black – all over the place until it crashed .Someone suggested that I download a copy trial of Vegas Movie Studio and I did. Oddly it rendered fine so it beats me.Bottom line is I got it to the client and he was happy.
I shoot in high definition normally. This was someone else’s work that I had to fix.All I did was add some titles and some transitions- not too much to ask I would think.Anyway enough bitching- the client has his work.
Thanks again.BTW seeing as you work for VAAST.I had Vegas 9 pro previously. Is my copy of Ultimate S using 11 going to work or do I have to go down the upgrade route once again??

If you have Ultimate S Pro 4, it will work with Vegas Pro 11.0. Just download the latest build from our downloads page and you should be all set. With each new version of Vegas there is usually something we have to change to maintain compatibility so make sure you have the latest version of Ultimate S Pro 4.1.7.
