I am desperate to get some uncompressed.mov files rendered. I have 30 minute programs and render them in parts of about 6 minutes each as rendering one file is simply too huge. The .mov files is the only format I can use to send to the production house for them to make HDcam master tapes.

I have literally spent days trying to render one program. 9 out of 10 times I get this message after waiting for the render to finish.

Any suggestions from anyone. I’m going crazy wanting Vegas to do it’s job correctly.
It doesn’t seem to matter if I use Vegas 9 with 32 or 64 bit. Using Vegas 10 leaves me with lots of “black flashes”

    Hi Mate.
The only 2 things that spring to mind are 1, you have a file open with the same name. Not likely i know.
The second is something i came across the other day. I was trying to render some files that were shot at 24fps and i wanted to render out to .mp4 at 24fps. I just kept getting a generic message saying Vegas couldn’t do it. Dropping the fps to 23.976 worked like a charm.

Im pretty new to all this but i found it strange and couldn’t figure out why it was doing this.

    Good luck finding the answer.

    Dave.
