Did a search and couldn’t find anything, so here goes…

I recently installed Leopard, I’m running 10.5.5 on an Intel Mac. I’m running 5.1.4 Final Cut and here’s the issue I’m encountering:

When I simply place an image in my sequence without rendering, there are hundreds of green lines, for lack of a better word, on the canvas. They mostly disappear when I do a full render. So that’s one issue I can’t figure out. This happens in Dynamic and full.

Also, when I add motion to the picture and render, there are some black flickering lines. The sequence is DV/DVCPRO NTSC. This problem also occurs on any export in any compression to quicktime, so can I rule out my graphics card?

    Thanks for your help.

I wouldn’t rule out an issue between leopard and that older
version of fcp so it’s a tough call.

This is one reason I won’t run leopard until I have to.
Some odd issues out there for some folks running it.

have you tried trashing preferences and repairing permissions?

Yes, I’ve trashed my preferences and repaired permissions…same thing.

I hate the idea of uninstalling leopard, and I’m not sure when we’re going to spring for an FCP upgrade.

    thanks for your help
