rendering issue in 11.5
Hi, I’m trying to find out the reason of render speed discrepancy between a perspective camera and an orthogonal view in cinema this is my test file:
https://www.cubicdesign.fr/drew/rendertimeproblem.rar
In the perceptive view I’ve dollyed a camera far enough and then zoomed in to imitate cinema’s Top view.
the thing is, a perspective camera renders much faster then the Top view when sent to the “picture viewer”(do not render “active view”, alternately set each panel to be used as render view).
Just note the render time in the picture viewer for the first half irradiance cache prepass to go down (for the little squares to reach the bottom)
the results I have:
a dual intel core: left (perspective) panel 2:03mns, right (top) 4:44mns
a quad intel core: left panel 1:16mns, right 3:14mns
Any idea how to get the same render speed from an orthogonal view? this is crucial for archvis and product presentation.
Note: substituting a parallel camera yield no speed gains.thanks, Lh
What?
