  • Rendering HDV to DVD

So I created a 5 min video using my Sony HDR-FX1. I then edited the HDV footage which came in as .m2ts I believe. I edited the video rendered it out to Sony AVC for Vimeo. Works perfect no distortion no nothing. But now I want to render out the same project for DVD. So I am trying to render the project out using MainConcept 2 with the HDV 1080 60i preset. But when I render it in the preview window the footage is distorted as if the field order or frame blending isn’t working right, when it is. Because I had it set perfect for Sony AVC. I checked my settings for my project and they are correct with a field order of Upper first and Interpolation on. So why when I try to render out to MainConcept2 am I getting a distorted piece. Please any help would be great!

For a DVD, you want to use the Main Concept MPEG2 “Save as type” and the “DVD Architect NTSC Widescreen video stream” preset.
