    Hi,

    Rendering from After Effects to play in Powerpoint 2007 and am not seeing a transparent background in the video. I’ve tried the combos below and included a snapshot of the render queue:

    Which (if any) of the combinations should have produced video with a transparent background? Are there additional values for rendering that I need to change; if so, what are they and what should they be changed to?

    (Additional info:
    – This project was imported from Illustrator (Document profile = Video and Film)
    – Applications: After Effects, Illustrator (both CS5)

    Video Codec – None
    Channels – RGB+Alpha
    Depth – Millions of Colors+
    Color – Straight
    Comp background is black
    Transparency grid is on

    2.
    Format – AVI
    Video Codec – None
    Channels – RGB+Alpha
    Depth – Millions of Colors+
    Color – Premultiplied
    Comp background is black
    Transparency grid is on

    3.Format – Quick Time
    Video Codec – Animation
    Channels – RGB+Alpha
    Depth – Millions of Colors+
    Color – Straight
    Comp background is black
    Transparency grid is on

    4.Format – Quick Time
    Video Codec – Animation
    Channels – RGB+Alpha
    Depth – Millions of Colors+
    Color – Premultiplied
    Comp background is black
    Transparency grid is on

    I could be wrong but I am fairly sure powerpoint doesnt do alpha channels.

    The higher they fly… the much.

    I know that powerpoint supports alphas in PNG stills, so maybe try a png sequence?

    Powerpoint supports .avi and .mov file types.

    The only thing I could think of that might support transparency in a moving image in Powerpoint would be a GIF
