  • rendering for widescreen 16:9 help!!!!!

In after effects I need to render out some footage originally at 720 by 480 for 16:9 aspect ratio. I do not want to distort and crop. I plan on making some motion graphic backdrops and placing the 720 by 480 footage into the 16:9. It seems the HDTV preset at 1280 x 720 is a monster and I would have to blow up my 720 x 480 footage. And the PAL widescreen at 16:9 wouldn’t make any sense. The screen that has the final output has a resolution of 1280 x 768.What size should the 16:9 be set up for in the composition settings? What should the pixel aspect ratio be set to? Thanks in advance..
