Is there a setting that will reformat/resize SD to 16:9? I’m mixing some older DV aviation video with footage from a Z1U. I’ve rendered it as 1080p and I’m not crazy about the letter boxes on the sides of the old footage. I did a search on this before I asked and was’t sure what Spot meant by “adding media below the 4:3 files to fill the space”. Is that process explained in Spot’s Vegas book (which I have) or the VASST dvds? If so, let me know where it is covered and I’ll study it.

    Thank you,

    Hutch

What Spot is probably talking about is kind of disquising the ‘black bars’. One way is to take a duplicate of your video on track one and placing it on track 2. Then using any method enlarging that track 2 video to fill the whole screen. Then do something like make it black and white and add a gaussian blur (or do it in color – whatever your taste)To many people this looks better than just black bars.

Yea Terry, we demoed it all last week at NAB. If you’d like to test the release candidate, send an email to ultimatesupport at the vasst web site and I’ll send you a link. I have a couple of people testing it out now. If they don’t find anything, we will release it by the end of this week.

Thank you. Before I order Ultimate S, please clarify the 64-bit question: I have Vista with 4G Memory and 2.6mhz speed running Vegas Pro 8.0. Will I run into the 64-bit problem?

    Thanks,

    Hutch

    Hello,

I can’t seem to find “Production Assistant” (refered to above) except for a video scheduling software for business. What is Production Assistant?

    Big Thanks,

    Don
