That grey line on the time line. Can anyone describe what it actually means? I have a sequence with the same settings as the clips on my time line and it’s got this grey line indicating that there’s some rendering involved. Maybe I missed something?

    Thanks, Keith

Who can describe what this means? Rendered proxy, it’s the gray line that describes the rendered level of the clip below on the timeline. I’m unable to explain why I’m seeing this. My sequence settings are the same as my clips’ yet I’m still seeing this gray line indicating rendered proxy. Can’t anyone figure this out, it’s nowhere in the manuel or anywhere online. It appears no one has an explaination, I know that can’t be possible, someone has a simple explaination like maybe I’m missing something in my settings that’s right in front of me, or, it’s some secret.
