Hello, i am really new to FCP. I did a 30 second proyect, with no effects at all. I rendered AVI good quality. And the file came out with a 128mb size. I said WHAT ?????. for 30 secs.
Am i doing something wrong. I did projects like this one before in Vegas, and the file size was no bigger than 30mb, with a lot of effects.
    Please Help-
    Thanks

Depends on the settings you used. 30 sec uncompressed can be 128mb. I recently did a 10 min movie for school, i rendered it to around 800mb for high quality. Another group did a 5 min movie that ended up looking like it was shot on a home dv cam, but due to their export settings it became 1.8gb. Try another codec, i use h.264 alot, its pretty good.

Hello, i try so many different sizes and compressions. AVI, WMV, Video Stream, medium quality, high quality. And NEVER get any result less than 128Mb.
As i explain before, this is my first week with FC, and i really dont know much. But the video quality that i see on my preview, when i am editing its not the one i see in Quick Time when i see the final movie.

Is there any special setting when you capture from TAPE,. Because my camera is a DV cam. That uses Mini DV.

    I dont know. . .

Please any help will be great.

How do you apply the same effect to the whole video track? –

    THANKS:
