    oh, those beautiful photoshop negatives.

I just did some AE work on some cr2 files (converted to dng, of course), and the client wants the final output to be a cr2 image sequence.

Can AE even do this? Or export a dng sequence?

    thanks,

CR2 is a Canon format. AE will not render to that format. Why would you want to render to a camera’s porprietary format anyway?
I don’t think you could render to DNG either, and there isn’t really a reason to do so: DNG makes sense because Camera Raw/LightRoom can keep some parameters editable from the raw file. By definition, whatever you do in AE won’t operate in those parameters. You can get much higher quality anyway if you export to OpenEXR or 32 bit PSDs, which are HDR formats.
