    HI ALL,

LET ME SAY: MOTION3 is superb. fast, intuitive etc.

    But:
i made a dvd menue. I had 5 clips playing at 25fps/Animation codec.
i animated a nice 3d menue with the 5 clips an exported to animation…

suddenly, the 5 clips were “out of sync” !
strange frame duplicates in the 5 clips at various TCs; QT says it’s 22fps although rendered as 25fps,
not at all what the original 5 clips were concerning timing – …

i mean, that’s not possible is it??
such a wonderful program and such rudimentary bugs??

do we have to go back to AE, for we can’t rely on Motion to render
    a 25fps clip correctly..

    thanx for the input

    stefan

such a wonderful program and such rudimentary bugs?? < 90% of the "bugs" turn out to be really dumb user errors. However, Apple left us some real stupid programming mistakes and unacceptably lame quality control on Motion 3. I don't think this is one of them but I don't do PAL work. > do we have to go back to AE, for we can’t rely on Motion to render
a 25fps clip correctly.. < That would be my suggestion, I ALWAYS default to AE. But you need to carefully examine your files. How do you really know what the specs are? Playing Animation codec files is never realtime without proprietary hardware support. bogiesan
