render settings resource file
I am setting up an AE render farm and have to make sure that the render setting templates match on all machines.
Rather than going to each individual machine, starting AE creating a render Queue and then saving a Render Template, is there a way to open an AE resource file that could be edited with a text editor to make the necessary changes to the render templates?
This info has to be stored somewhere. Anyone know where?

You can create and save render settings templates to anywhere on the system and load it from within any other machine, no? on the bottom of the rendersettings and outputmodule templates there’s save and load buttons…
But in a watch-folder I think these setting come along with the project, so created on one machine, the others just get the same settings (if the used compressor is installed on that system)vanderzee.tv

My farm software references the settings for each machine, they are local to the individual machine and not project specific.
This is why each machine’s render settings need to be identical. So for ease of installation, I would like to be able to just copy a resource file (for example) to each of my render machines that contains all of my presets.

Saving and loading through the render settings window is exactly what I am doing right now.
I am trying to avoid having to open AE and get into the render queue on each individual machine. I’d like to be able to edit these settings from the finder level.
