Did aynybody saw V8 render screens? Any changes?

I am constantly struggling with putting my settings back. Not good after a long shooting day and easy to make mistakes. Shouldn’t be to difficult to save it in a ‘profile’ .

It’s simple, every time you press Apple-R for rendering, all settings or some settings jump back to defaults.
When you open the program for the first time it jumps back to DPX renders.
When it is the seoond render of the day, it might still keep the file format but things like rendersetting: “source” will be unchecked everytime again.
A quick rerender always needs a check and re-check of the settings.
IF you store the render settings in ‘profiles’ that can be set default, this would not happpen.

I’ve definitely started renders only to hit myself on the head and have to redo. As of latest beta they introduced a preset pulldown but these seem canned presets for FCP so far, and I didn’t see a button to save your own into there.

Now, you could use Batch Requests I think for this, sort of. If you make a batch request for a session, and then click on it later, its settings will be loaded into Render Properties. You can click, then render as normal.

I think the render window, if executed in the same project should just show exactly the same settings.
It might even ask to overwrite the files or offer to make a new version in a folder, but keep everything the same filenamewise.
