Render Queue Spits Out Weirdness
I making a simple calendar-style flip book as a small part of a project and when I render it out there’s some strangeness happening:
When I RAM preview it doesn’t look like this at all. None of that noise is there, and the pages dont’ suddenly disappear. I had some problems with this earlier today and rearranged some of the layers in an effort to avoid any of the co-planar surface issues. The layers themselves aren’t keyframed other than the page peel effect so I don’t have any krazy keyframes. Still, why would it show up in the render and not the RAM preview? Any advice would be great! Thanks again!

The noise issue is weird. It’s probably a QT issue which kicks in during renders. Try a non-QT CODEC and see how that goes. As for the missing pages (layers), it’s most probably like what you’ve mentioned, a 3D space issue. Why not set up the pages in a pre-comp as 2D layers. Then nest this into your final comp and make it a 3D layer. This way, the individual pages won’t have any 3D planar issues.

After playing with it some I collapsed the nested comp which contained the calendar layers, and then played around with the space issues until I got it right.
