Render quality – vegas version comparison
Hi,
Just a simple question but I need to ask it very specifically. I still use Vegas 6. I render out 720p progressive videos and the quality looks fine.
Sometimes I wonder if I would get a quality increase with a newer version. So to frame my question properly, putting all newer-version bell & whistle enhancements aside and focusing purely on raw-rendering quality (consider it “an exact setting-to-setting” comparison, do the newer Vegas versions produce a better quality rendering result than Vegas 6?

A new version wont necessarily give you better render results,
Just have a lot more features and compatibility for media that
are now being used.
But try disable Resampling on everything on the timeline before
you render, you will get cleaner results.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

Interesting you mentioned the resample setting because I learned to do that through my own trial and error experiments and it is a reliable way to improve renders.Thanks again.
