Render Problems with AE 7(Mac) and QT 7.1.1

I’ve been having some weird issues with frame data being incorrectly rendered out of After Effects 7 (Mac).
Here’s an example: I have a comp with a layer that is an animated logo (in Quicktime format) I rendered out of Cinema 4d. The source file has the same frame rate as the comp, 29.97 fps. When I render the comp, the frame of the logo at 00;02;08 repeats itself at frame 00;02;09 and 00;02;10, and skips over the frames that actually live at 00;02;09 and 00;02;10 of the source file, resulting in the video “freezing” for those 3 frames of the finished render
The curious thing is, when I render the comp through the “Composition…Save RAM Preview” command, the problem doesn’t crop up, the comp renders properly.
Any help/advice anyone can give is much appreciated. Thank you.

I’ve had this problem on some systems as well but in PAL. I get frame 1 ok, frame 2 is frame 3 and frame 3 is frame 1 again and then comes frame 4 (sorta). One frame is missing and you get a “jiggy jump” to it.
One solution has been to “clear all caches” before rendering. It also seems the type of imput-file can be an issue. I had the issue with a number of QuickTime/Animation files. Converting them to 10-bit Uncompressed made the problem go away.
I don’t know if this is a QT or AE problem, but the abnormallity of “framejumping” only reflects in AE. I’ve seen it happen through Nucleo also in AE (actually more frequence than though AE it self).
