    Hi,

I need to render my timeline as a full hd 1920×1080(as it was shot) .mov or .avi for festival screening purposes but whenever I try the resulting file ends up with around 100GB and that is too much of course. I need help to figure that out, I use Vegas Pro 10 64bit.

    Thanks!!!

It sounds like you’re rendering uncompressed video.
What do the festival specs call for?
    Please be very specific.

There are no specific specs, just needs to be full HD just as it was shot or as a Blue Ray file for instance.

Doesn’t that mean by implication that you are going to get a very large file?

What have the organisers asked for?

Right, let me know with all your knowledge how come a 12 minute 1920×1080 video ends up 100GB of file size, you clearly know what you are talking about.
