You remember how in Vegas 8, when you wanted to render an image sequence, you’d just go TOOLS>SCRIPTING>Render Image Sequence. And you could tell it at what intervals(Step Time) to grab the images?

    That’s all changed now. 🙁

Now, in Vegas 10, it’s over in FILE>RENDER AS>SAVE AS TYPE>IMAGE SEQUENCE. Fair enough. However, for the life of me, I cannot find how to tell it at what Step Time to render the images. At what is apparently the default setting, I just got 300 images for a 10 second clip. Overkill.

Help on adjusting the Step Time in Vegas 10?

There is no way to control the step time. 10 seconds at 30fps = 300 images.

You can still use a script productivity tool like VASST Ultimate S Pro and Excalibur, to generate image sequences with an adjustable step time.

Ugh, I thought you were supposed to ADD features when you update a product. Not take them away. 🙁 But, good to know that it’s not the usual “it’s there right in front of your face, Steve, you just missed it.” 🙂

It was a lot more convenient to render the sequence right in Vegas rather than having to use another app. Probably easist to just put the clip in Vegas 8 and do it that way.

It was just a script. If you still own Vegas 8, copy the script from the Vegas 8 Script Menu into the Vegas Pro 10 Script Menu and you have your functionality back. Nothing taken away.

What I was suggesting was not another app. It is a plug-in script just like the script you have been using only with a lot more functionality. It’s really the same thing only better.
