  • Render frame rate options R9 vs. R10

In Resolve 9, I have a project that is set to “timecode calculated at 24,” and it gives me the drop-down option to render out 23.98 or 24. After moving the project to R10b3, I’m only getting the option to output at 24.

Testing with an empty project, it looks like R10 only offers exactly the frame rate that is in the conform setting, which seems like a disadvantage. Is this how R10b3 is behaving for everybody?

    Cheers

    Hi Kevin,

We’ll have the option to choose between 23.98 and 24 in the final release of V10. It’s a beta limitation.

    Regards,
    Rohit

If you’re rendering to Quicktime, you can use CinemaTools in the meantime to just change the framerate of the quicktime file from 24 to 23.976.
