This video compilation has been a complete nightmare. I have been reading on numerous flicking fixes on these forums and none of them seem to work. When I render this one clip by itself in a separate vegas project there is no issue. However when I put it into my complete compilation final project, only this clip flickers and the clip seems to flip upside down over and over during the flickering.

I’m rendering my final copy to 640×480 (MPG2)
    Flickering clip resolution: 1280×720 (WMV)
Good clips: 640×480 and 1920×1080 (notice these two are different but yet no flickering from the 1920×1080 oddball clip).

I’ve tried disabling resample, changing resolutions, just about everything possible. I removed the flipping issue by rendering the clip separately and flipping it. But the basic flickering is still present. Any ideas?

Edit: just to add, when i preview with/without RAM everything looks perfectly fine.

To anyone reading this who has this problem, I managed to fix it. Believe it or not, my two clips had the same name (Untitled.wmv) and I guess that created some kind of confliction. Furthermore, if you have flickering throughout the whole video, I recommend moving the footage to your internal hard drive rather than using an external. My external hard drive had issues with rendering; most likely due to slow transfer speeds from hard drive to pc.

Vegas creates those .sfk files matching clip names. Depending on how you substituted one clip for another of the same name, vegas may have been driven by the .sfk for the wrong one.
