So I have a brand new MacPro 2 x 2.26 quad core with 12 Gig of apple RAM at my house and I can’t render 30 seconds of HD footage using keylite without the render failing and saying “Kelite has run out of memory.”

At work I have an older 2 x 2.66 dual core with 3Gig or RAM and it’s renders everything out fine.

Both have multi processing enable, what am I doing wrong to make my home computer fail all its renders?

nope, DVCPRO HD, log and transferred from FCP. I make a new comp in AE 1280 X 720 sqaure pixels and that makes it display correctly. Wh ywould it work better on one machine than the other (especially when the other is a much more powerful computer? Surely it has something to do with the multi processing right? Am I not allocating enough memory per CPU? I’m giving 2 gig per core

Actually AfterEffects does that for you. When I go to 2 gig per core it uses less cores, it updates automatically to use as many cores as it can with the allocated memory.

I’ll give it a shot, thanks for your help and quick responses.
