    Hi list,

I keep getting the above render error when I try to mixdown a sequence. There are six tracks, stereo from each of a three camera shoot. I’m on the most recent FCP 5. I have thrashed prefs. No other apps open.

Would anyone have any ideas what might be going on.

    Warmest and thanks,

    Kevin

The error FCP is throwing up probably has nothing to do with the actual issue so forget it. Unless, of course, the one or two files directly referenced are corrupt. No way to know, really.
About all you can do is try eliminating the obvious or anything you have a gut feeling about. Make a copy of the project and play with the copy. Delete or turn off a couple of tracks. See what happens. Try selecting all fo the audio trakcs and grouping them into a nest.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

Thanks to all for the feedback. I think I have gotten past the poblem by deleting and rerendering all audio.

I’m sure I did have some media re-purposed, copied from one sequence and further modified in another but I’ve been doing that since FCP and never found it a problem before.

I narrowed down the problem by mixing down each sequance first before nesting them to a master sequence and then I went ahead and mix that master down also and it all seemed to go through OK. Thank goodness, that was almost a full days work figuring that one out.

Again many thanks for you help.

    Warmest,

    Kevin
