Render each clip separately.
I’m working on another feature film. I’m trying to use the collaboration between AE and PR for the first time (I’ve used it for small commercial promo videos and I liked it).
For this particular project…
Soon, I’ll need to export my final cut into Resolve (Someone in my company does color grading). But since I don’t presume Resolve would recognize the dynamic links between PR and AE, I need to render each cut separately in order to import them into Resolve. I’m not sure Project Manager would render AE comps and I can do color grading in AE, but Resolve is my client’s preference and I have to oblige!I’m trying to export my entire project to a hard drive that my colorist could work on.
Any ideas how I could render each “Cut” or “shot” separately in a numerical order for my colorist to import them sequentially and continue on grading the project.

I’m not a fan of Dynamic link, I got burnt by it when it first came out.
The other issue is that there is double rendering, ram preview in AE and re rendering in Premiere. However if you ram preview in AE and then export that file, it uses the ram preview and so you’re not re rendering.So you put the render file in the Premiere sequence. If you want to change it, go back to AE and re render over the op of that file. Go back to Premiere and it’s updated.
So this works like dynamic link, but you’re left with rendered files rather that dynamic links and you’re ready for Resolve.
From there you can just trim the project and then export that to an FCP XML, which can then be imported into Resolve.

You don’t need to render each shot separately for Resolve. Just render the entire film out and the colorist can use Scene Detect to break the film back up for coloring. We do this for all our shows coming out of Premiere to Resolve.
If there’s a particular scene or scenes that require more handles on either side for a special effect or something like that, we just re-export those individual scenes and re-assemble in Premiere. It’s quite easy.
