Hi, at first sorry for my english!
    I need some help with a codecs. I made a documentary with my old Sony Sr11 (AVC/16mbps 1920×1080 60i 29.97). Edit in Vegas (m2ts).
I have to send it to a Film Festival.

They give me this specifications, but later they told me that I can use others codec if I prefer:

    QuickTime .mov with audio
    APPLE XDCAM HD422 (NTSC 720p24 / PAL 720p25)
    Frame Rate: same as native
    Bit Rate: 50Mb/s CBR
Audio: PCM Lineal – 48kHz 16 Bits Stereo

I’m going to render to XDCAM MXF 35mbp codec. Is that correct?

    thank you very much!
    Fer

[Fer Concolor] “APPLE XDCAM HD422 (NTSC 720p24 / PAL 720p25)

I would render to Sony MXF using the HD422 1280×720-50p 50 Mbps template and change the frame rate to 25.000.

    Hi John, tanks a lot!
I forget that they give me both options:
    APPLE XDCAM HD422 (NTSC 1080p24 / PAL 1080p25) 1920×1080.
    APPLE XDCAM HD422 (NTSC 720p24 / PAL 720p25)

And this template HD422 1920×1080-29p 50 Mbps, with the same frame rate as Sr-11? 25p is better?

I going to use FFmbc to move to .mov
    Thanks a lot again!
    greetings

There is no 29p template so I’m not sure what you are referring to. If your SR-11 shoots 25p you should deliver 50i with this template HD422 1920×1080-50i 50 Mbps or 25p by changing the Filed Order to Progressive.

[Fer Concolor] “I going to use FFmbc to move to .mov”

Let us know how that works out for you. I’ve never used that but it looks interesting.
