Render and audio issues
Hi All,
I have had 2 strange issues on the last project:
1) the client whipped me up an audio track on Audition (I think) which i pulled into AE and worked away for a while. then came to a bit that needed a bit more SFX so i exported it to a Quantel system to do a little mix and then back into AE – all good so far. On completion of the AE stage I exported the vision into the Quantel as TGA sequence. The audio was still in Quantel so i lined it up and . . . . it was too short! it was all there but about 20% shorter.
There was no lip sync so in the end we just slowed it down and all was OK but it left me deeply confused.2) rendering jumped between 3-4 secs per frame up to 18 secs per frame on my HP Z600 dual quad 8gig ram. it started out really slow so i sent the project to our other suite MAcPro dual quad 6 gig ram and got much the same but different! The Mac started at 3-4 secs frame and then slowed to 18 secs. render time on either machine was ranging from 14 hours to 100 hours. I tried so many different settings but nothing really seemed to help. It was a 3d project so i had render multiple frames off. If i have 8 gig of ram how come AE doesnt go more than 2.4 gig of mem usage?
is my post too long?
