Posted by Ashish Sah on September 22, 2013 at 2:53 pmi had made a film(60min) which was shot in cannon 5d mark2. after cc and use of some pluging (like brightness and contrast etc.) it will showing me 9 hrs to render. is there any way to quicker render.

-This is not a top of the line Mac with 2GB or more of GPU RAM- required for optimal speed.
-H.264 media unoptimized to ProRes- one of the most processor intensive codecs
-“looks”= Magic Bullet Looks- probably the most processor intensive plugin there is.9:1 doesn’t sound unheard of. That sounds like a reasonable overnight render for a 1 hour timeline.

i have 16gb ddr3 ram, 2*2.4 ghz quad-core intel xeon processor, ati radeon hd 5770 1024 mb graphics card. i think its enough for edit. we are using apple ProRes(HQ).i want to ask one more question, is there any difference between the quality of apple ProRes(HQ) and 8 bit uncompressed. we are making digital print for cinemas.
