  • Removing “Video Playback” presets???

I rally want to get rid of most of the presets that appear when you go to the “View/Video Playback” menu (specifically all the Japanese J-presets). How can I get rid of them?

I deleted all unneccssary presets from my “Applications/Final Cut Pro HD Easy Setups” folder, as well as the systemwide Library/Application Support/Final Cut Pro System Support/Custom Settings” folder, as well as in any user-level Library folders, and yet those presets still live on.

Is there any way to get rid of them? There will NEVER be a time when I would ever need to use the Japanese settings, so why do they have to be there? Its really easy to confuse the J settings with the NTSC settings, and at the very least, the J settings and NTSC-US settings should be sorted in that menu based on the “J” or “US”, and not the video output type (in other words, ALL US settings should appear together in the listing, and then list the Japanese settings together..

Just a little UI useability pet-peeve I have. I have accidentally chosen the J settings too many times to count.

    thanks in advance

I also would like to know if you can remove capture AND playback presets. There are too many presets that I would never use. This list needs to be used selective!
