  • removing video from media managed sequence

    Hi,

I tried to give my audio engineer an OMF. The problem is that he can’t read the audio levels. This is a big project with 32 audio channels. 8 episodes of 50 minutes. So you can imagine that it would help if he can read all the keyframes I put in carefully in all the 32 audio channels.

Now we have figured out the following:

I gave him a mediamanaged project with an XML file. He can read this, and I don’t have the OMF limit of 2 Gigs, but the disadvantage is that in the mediamanged project the video is still there although I removed all the video layers from the sequence before I started the media managing.

Does anybody nows how to remove the video?

    Thanks, Micha

YOu can’t. Because you captured the media as video and audio tied together. Unless you set things up in the SYSTEM PREFERENCES to capture audio and video separately, you can’t media manage audio only.

    Hi Shane,

    Thanks for your answer.

Do you know an other way how I can give the audio to the audio engineer? An OMF doesn’t do it for me because he can’t read the levels.

The mediamanaged project, with the video included works for him, but it is a lot of gigs.

    Micha
