    I have never been really happy with wide angle footage for the HVX (same with the DVX also) they never seem to be sharp especially when compared with the hand held camera. The only think I can think of is a lot of the vibration is working its way up the platform and tripod legs. I always turn the OIS off. Does anyone have any tricks.

    I love the picture I get from my .75 zoom-through Century Optics lens. But I don’t do event shooting.

    Are you close to the speakers? Maybe the vibration isn’t traveling up the sticks but hitting the camera body directly. With the heavier body weight compared with a small handheld perhaps the wave impact is greater.

    Benjamin, you cannot fix something like this is post.
    this is a camera that is by FOH which is normally mid way back or at the back of the floor.
