  • Removing presets from type tool.

Posted by John Rich on January 12, 2007 at 4:11 pm

Somehow, the type tool pre-sets (upperleft hand part of screen) has become full and I want to empty it with 1 or two clicks. Instead, it appears I have to select each one separately, and then delete it.

I don’t think I found the answer in the fly out window.
I couldn’t find it in the help.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I assume this is a photoshop not illustrator question.

In the flyout menu for your type tool preset, choose replace tool preset, and choose a dummy art history.tpl rather than text.tpl. This will get repalce everything under your type tool preset with art history which has no text tool presets and will wipe it clean for you.

I have a feeling you loaded text.tpl at one point and all the minion & myriad text tool presets were loaded.

    Mike,
Thanks so much for your help. I do have Photoshop CS2 and I did screw up and load all the type presets.

Actually down at the bottom of the presets flyout menu, all the groups of presets are available, and I reached art history from there also. Naturally, I would never have thought to use it that way though.
    Thanks again,
