Removing Film Flicker from 8mm/16mm projected movies
I need a cheap fix here… I know that the proper way to transfer film to video is using a telecine. However, I’ve got some old 8mm and 16mm film that I shot using a DVCAM camera and want to remove the luminance flicker that results. It doesn’t need to be perfect, just reduced. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you have the Professional version of AE you can try the Color Stabilize effect, which is designed to remove flicker and equalize exposure.
