When i import a explosion into after effects and use DEMULT from ignite express to remove the black background it removes the black smoke as well. Anyone out there that might have any ideas what i am doing wrong. Have tried doing it with Screen and Add it does the same.

HI, The explosion has a transparent background but i don’t seem to be able to remove the black. I have done it other times with other effects , but not this one. David

Hi Dave, checked out the footage and there is no mention about ” Millions so that means it has on Alpha channel”. I will have to find another explosion. Thank you for you help. David.
