    Hi,

I have a number of shots where I start with a mask and I want to open up the whole shot over one or more keyframes.

If I create a keyframe and reset mask – it’s just binary for Vegas – the masks comes off totally. I want it to transition off.

At the moment, I am creating the masks and then moving all the dots outside the video/image area in the open keyframe but the better my mask the longer this takes.

    Is there a quicker way?

What you are currently doing is the only way I know of to make the mask grow bigger.

Alternately you could keyframe the “feather” to grow and then dissolve to the same event without the mask. This might actually look smoother.
